Counter reads an opponent's docx, breaks it into individual arguments, and answers the ones worth answering with real, cited evidence, organized into a notebook you can read from.

Upload the case
Drop in the opponent's case as a docx, from a disclosure page, a flash, or your own files.
Review the arguments
Counter shows you every argument it found. Edit, delete, add, or reorder them. The order you leave them in is the order of your response file.
Let it research
Counter drafts several possible responses to each argument, keeps the ones worth pursuing, and runs a full Search on each. A single run can look at thousands of sources.
Open the response file
The strongest cards are graded, filtered, and assembled into a notebook under the case's own headings. You can watch progress while it runs and keep working elsewhere.
Counter is most useful the night before a tournament, when you have the disclosure and not the time. Treat the file as a strong first draft: read the cards, cut the ones that do not fit your strategy, and add your own analytics.

Every answered argument gets a short label above its cards, so you can see what each group of evidence is doing without reading all of it.

Every answer is a real card from a real source, tagged, cited, and cut. Counter does not invent responses and pass them off as evidence.

Nothing is researched until you have reviewed how Counter read the case. Fix a misread argument, cut one you do not care about, or add one it missed.
